Visual arts are essential to the education of students at Rosehill Christian School.
Our arts program begins in Pre Kindergarten and continues through 12th grade as part of the learning process.

Elementary Art
Rosehill students study art and art history through a biblical perspective knowing and understanding that God is the first and ultimate Artist and Maker of Heaven and Earth.

Major movements in art from prehistoric to current contemporary art.
To appreciate art and use the techniques of famous artists to create their own unique artwork.
Grade-level projects are designed to give a well-rounded experience with different types of art and media through drawing, painting, printmaking, collage, fiber art, clay, and sculpture.

Middle School Art
Middle School art is about testing boundaries, investigating new approaches, and making connections. Students learn how art is an effective form of personal expression through various techniques and artists.

Two- and three-dimensional projects that encourage creativity, freedom, and skill-building.
Increased skills through exercises in drawing, painting, printmaking, clay, and mixed media and design.
Compare and contrast artworks of various individuals and learn to articulate the student’s understanding of arts as it relates to the world and to themselves.

High School Art
Behind every creative professional is a young adult who was inspired to express thoughts, ideas, and feelings through visual arts. Projects are designed so students have the opportunity to take appropriate risks, solve problems, articulate and celebrate the beauty of art.

A comprehensive study of art history and the artists who took risks for their own art and in the process inspired others.

Digital Art and Media
This course is a study of modern, post-modern, and contemporary visual art and design with students learning media literacy and technology applications. Students learn how to bridge traditional art with current technology applications to create new media.
